We are excited to announce the release of ProfilePress version 4.15.24 & 5. These updates introduce new filters, UI enhancements, important bug fixes, and key improvements to enhance your ProfilePress experience.

New features & Improvements

Site-wide Support for Email Confirmation Addon

The Email Confirmation addon now supports site-wide usage, ensuring consistent email verification across your entire WordPress site.

New Filters for Greater Flexibility

We’ve added several new filters for developers, including:

  • ppress_metered_paywall_settings_taxonomies
  • ppress_payment_processing_message
  • ppress_md_profile_bio
  • ppress_registration_should_send_welcome_email
  • Additional parameters for the ppress_welcome_message_raw_content filter

These provide more control over metered paywalls, user profiles, registration flows, and welcome email customization.

More Dynamic Emails

  • You can now use the {{user_id}} placeholder in welcome emails.
  • Support for file upload fields is now available in custom email fields.

Better UI and Usability Enhancements

  • Added copy buttons to make shortcodes on plan, group, and form pages easier to copy.
  • Threads and Bluesky social media icons have been added for broader profile connectivity.
  • Checkout field labels are now fully translatable.

Improved Mailchimp & Campaign Monitor Bulk Sync

Bulk syncing is now significantly more memory-efficient, making large list management more reliable.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed incorrect usage of the load_textdomain_just_in_time function.
  • Fixed constant already defined errors that could affect plugin compatibility.
  • Resolved frontend JavaScript script loading issue.
  • Fixed slashes appearing in membership plan names.
  • Fixed a ReCAPTCHA issue that was not working correctly during the plan upgrade checkout.
  • Fixed issue where profile image cropping wasn’t functioning correctly.
