Manually Creating the Required ProfilePress Pages

When ProfilePress is activated for the first time, a notice is shown to the user to create the required pages it needs to work correctly. These include pages for login, registration, password reset, user accounts, profiles, checkout, and order confirmation.

If the automatic page creation process fails or the user accidentally dismisses it, they can create these pages manually and assign them in the ProfilePress settings.

Step 1: Create the Required Pages

Go to Pages > Add New in your WordPress admin dashboard and create each page below.

Page Shortcode
Login [profilepress-login id="FORM_ID"]
Registration [profilepress-registration id="FORM_ID"]
Password Reset [profilepress-password-reset id="FORM_ID"]
My Account [profilepress-my-account]
User Profile [profilepress-user-profile id="FORM_ID"]
Checkout [profilepress-checkout]
Order Confirmation [profilepress-receipt]
Order Failed No shortcode required

For the Order Failed page, you can add a simple message such as:

Your transaction failed. Please try again or contact support.

Step 2: Replace FORM_ID with Your Form ID

Some ProfilePress shortcodes require a form ID.

To find the correct ID:

  1. Go to ProfilePress > Forms & Profiles.
  2. Open the form type you need, such as Login, Registration, Password Reset, or User Profile.
  3. Copy the shortcode shown for that form.
  4. Paste it into the matching WordPress page.

For example, your login shortcode may look like this:

[profilepress-login id="999"]

Step 3: Assign the Pages in ProfilePress Settings

After creating the pages, assign them in ProfilePress:

  1. Go to ProfilePress > Settings.
  2. Open General > Pages.
  3. Select the correct WordPress page for each setting:
Setting Select This Page
Login Page Login
Registration Page Registration
Password Reset Page Password Reset
My Account Page My Account
User Profile Page User Profile
Checkout Page Checkout
Order Success Page Order Confirmation
Order Failure Page Order Failed

4. Click Save Changes.

Optional: Create a Member Directory Page

ProfilePress may also create a Member Directory page during setup. If you need one, create a new page and add this shortcode:

[profilepress-member-directory id="FORM_ID"]

You can find the correct member directory shortcode from the ProfilePress member directory or forms screen.

Final Check

Visit each page on the front end of your site to confirm that the form or account area loads correctly. If a page shows only the shortcode text, make sure ProfilePress is active and that the shortcode was copied exactly.
